Study best practices for writing a meaningful children's picture book as we create and refine marketable stories for pleasure and/or publication. Focusing on curiosity and delight, share work with fellow writers and an industry professional.

The following is a loose outline of each week's content as students are guided along the way: Week 1: Great Ideas and Hooky Beginnings. Week 2: Creating Memorable Characters. Week 3: Plotting, Pacing and Formatting. Week 4: Setting, Language, Emotion and Relationships. Week 5: Cover Letters, Pitches and Bios.
