Welcome to WR 115. My name is Andrea Hills; I teach online and at PCC's Cascade Campus.

This summer term WR 115 runs for 8 weeks, and is a fully Online (No Scheduled Meetings) college writing class. All class materials are provided in the course, and there are no materials or textbooks to buy. Students work individually at their own pace each week. While students are encouraged to connect with the teacher via Zoom for individual conferences, this class does not require weekly Zoom meetings or any in-person attendance.

WR 115 is designed to offer a range of opportunities to build the skills needed to write, read, and research in college classes. Some of the skills we will work on include working with the structure and organization of writing, practice with grammar and editing, reading critically, locating information, exploring ideas, and writing to learn.

 

Technology

 This class does not require any special technology outside of the basic technology needed for any PCC online class.

No show policy

Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.
