Details about this class

Please sign up for this class only if you can fully commit to attending, as we will be engaging in class notes, group activities, labs, projects, online homework and interactive discussions. I’m looking forward to working with all of you!

Technology

Classes will be held onsite in Bldg 2, Room 247 at Rock Creek Campus.

To participate, you will need the following:

  • A reliable internet connection to attend office hours via Zoom, access course materials in D2L, and complete online assignments

  • The ability to scan written documents to PDF format using a scanner or scanning app

  • The Desmos Online calculator for statistical calculations

  • A printer may be required for completing homework and other graded assignments

We will have interactive lab work and group discussions to reinforce the material covered in class.

Homework will be completed on the My Open Math (MOM) platform. Proctored quizzes will be taken at the start of each class after Week 1, lasting 30 minutes.

A video presentation of your project will be due during finals week.

Please make note of the exam dates and plan your schedule accordingly:

  • Aug 25 - Final Exam: Proctored via Zoom from 8 am - 10 am

Keep in mind that missed labs and group activities cannot be made up. Thanks for your understanding, and I’m excited to work with all of you!

No show policy

Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class.
