Details about this class

 Hello, Dear Students, Welcome!

We meet on Fridays, 10 - 12 in Zoom!  Then, you can work on lessons on your own time. I will  also have weekly check-in times and can schedule extra time with you.

Here’s a summary about the class and what we will be learning to do. You don’t have to buy anything. 

How class is structured:

  • Weekly modules with reading civics, history, geography and economics lessons
  • Meet on Fridays in Zoom, 10 - 12
  • Work independently between weekly classes
  • Optional check-in times with instructor individual work and support

Work load:

  • Attend 2 hour synchronous class in Zoom on Fridays
  • Dedicate approximately 3 additional hours a week to assignments 
  • Check-in with me for support

Please note: CASAS pre and post testing is required to be eligible for Official GED Exams

Technology

A laptop computer or Chromebook with a microphone and reliable internet access can help do the D2L assignments work and log-in to Zoom class.

 

No show policy

Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.
