Details about this class

Additional special notes for your students:

Required for this course: The Bible — Historical and Literary Introduction by B. Ehrman (either hard copy or etext version)

Highly Recommended for this course: a hard copy of The New Oxford Annotated Bible, NRSV with the Apocrypha

R 212 is a 4-credit course. What that means according to PCC's academic guidelines is that we all (students and faculty) are expected to spend an average of 12 hours per week doing our work. However, in most cases, between 8 and 10 hours per week should suffice.

Note that a Field Trip — on your own OR with classmate(s) — to a Christian place of worship (i.e., a church or a congregation) will be a requirement for this course — students are expected to attend either a worship service or a Bible Study and then provide a Field Trip Presentation about that visit.

Technology

There is no additional technology required for this class.

No show policy

Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.
