Details about this class

This class will be taught face-to-face. You will be expected to attend each class in person, as classes are not recorded. Class will be split into two portions: lecture and lab. We will use an online learning management system (D2L) as a way to deliver files, make announcements, and manage grades.

A typical class day will look like this.

During class

  1. Turn in any Homework and/or Lab Report that is assigned.
  2. Lecture on Scheduled Material.
  3. Break.
  4. Lab with Lab Attendant.

After class

  1. Rewrite your notes in your Reference Book (we'll talk about this).
  2. Do the corresponding HW exercises (in the textbook) and/or Lab Report.

A website for this course has been constructed, and you can find information about the class here.

Technology

This class will be taught face-to-face

  • You must be able to check your email consistently outside of class.
  • You will need a scientific calculator.
  • A graphing calculator is not required for the course. Instead we will use one of two free apps called Desmos and GeoGebra for graphing when a graphing utility is appropriate.
  • A printer is helpful but not required.

No show policy

Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class.
