Learn and apply foundational concepts of macro/micronutrients, nutritional biochemistry, and A&P to the practice of clinical functional nutrition. Coach clients on nutrient-dense whole-food choices, meal planning, and healthy food preparation.

Join a dedicated cohort in a live-streamed classroom to develop your nutrition expertise, either to add to your existing scope of practice, or to embark on a new profession. This course provides the basic knowledge and skills necessary for becoming a holistic nutritionist within the functional medicine paradigm.

In term 1, you learn and apply the foundational concepts of A&P, macro/micronutrients, and nutritional biochemistry to the practice of personalized functional nutrition. Students also practice finding, appraising, and utilizing primary research as the basis in the practice of evidence-based nutrition.
Application required. Course is the first of 4 terms required to complete program and become NANP-certified.
