Details about this class
I am Ceci de Valdenebro the instructor for this class. I am glad you are here!
ED 217 explores key theories and research that support the development of a positive and inclusive classroom culture. Together, we’ll dive into strategies for creating encouraging and engaging learning environments, with a strong focus on building effective routines and systems that support all learners. You will also learn about culturally responsive approaches to meet the needs of diverse student populations, helping you foster a classroom where every student feels seen, supported, and ready to learn.
This is the SYLLABUS for your reference!
In this class, we will create a community of learners as we meet in our weekly zoom sessions on Tuesdays at 5:00 pm. We will share our values, backgrounds, experiences and philosophy of teaching. Please know that this class will be represented by diverse individuals, so I expect that every member shows respect. This means that we treat each other the way we want to be treated. This applies to every discussion that we have in zoom and online.
As your instructor, please know that my first priority is your well being so that you can be ready to learn. Therefore, if there is anything that is affecting your ability to participate in the class, please do not hesitate to reach out. I am here to support you and I will do my best to connect you to resources.
