Details about this class

Bienvenidos to ED 100!

I am Ceci de Valdenebro the instructor for this class. I am glad you are here!

ED 100 explores the roles of a variety of personnel in schools. It includes personal responses to school situations, students, other personnel and the roles of schools in American Society. The course examines ethical, legal, and administrative implications for educators. It is recommended as an initial course for those contemplating a career in education. It was also designed to ease the transition of students to college-level study.

In this class, we’ll build a supportive learning community while working independently through each module. Along the way, we’ll explore our values, backgrounds, experiences, and teaching philosophies—bringing our full selves into the learning process.

Since the course is asynchronous, you’ll have the flexibility to work on your own schedule. To make the most of this experience, I recommend setting a weekly routine to stay on track. Staying engaged each week will help you feel connected and confident as you move through the course content.
