Focuses on police intervention in the lives of people in the midst of a crisis to minimize or prevent violence and gain control of a situation. Covers verbal and non-verbal communication techniques to lead to a successful and safe resolution. Prerequisites: CJA 101 or CJA 111. Audit available. (See course content and outcomes.)
