Details about this class

This is an online course and there will be no required meetings. There will be weekly reading assignments from the textbook/e-text, weekly discussions, weekly quizzes/tests, and one term paper interview assignment. All weekly discussions and weekly quizzes/tests are due no later than Sunday of each week.

The course textbook/e-text is Shielded: How the Police Became Untouchable by Joanna Schwartz. Viking is the publisher. The textbook is available at the PCC bookstore or from the publisher or any online bookstore vendor. Please acquire the textbook/e-text before the term begins.

The syllabus will be available on Desire 2 Learn Brightspace when the term begins.

No show policy

Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.
