Provides an overview of the role of police in society. Introduces theories of crime causation and their implication on agency policy and practice. Examines crime trends, organizational structures, policies, strategies and tactics employed to ensure police effectiveness, efficiency and equity. Prerequisite: WR 121. • In-Person: Instructional time will happen in-person. Class meetings take place at specific times and locations.
