Details about this class
This class is intended to mimic the workflows used in many cell culture labs. Cells are living organisms that require consistent attention; to best facilitate this, BIT 207 meets five times a week. As the term progresses, students will be divided into "shifts". During some weeks, different shifts will receive priority on equipment over different days and then have "off" days that will take the form of flexible "open lab" time involving benchwork that can be done at one's own pace.
Technology
While a device to access the internet will be useful for this in-person class, it is not required. No additional, special hardware is required.
No show policy
Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class.
Students with disabilities
Students with disabilities should notify their instructor if accommodations are needed to take this class. For information about technologies that help people with disabilities taking Online based classes please visit the Disability Services website.
