Details about this class

Welcome to Bi112!

In this course we will be studying the scientific method, cellular chemistry, cell structure and function, and principles of inheritance, in alignment with our CCOGs. We will be discussing and investigating the topics and skills required to continue to anatomy and physiology and microbiology. As we build this scaffolding of knowledge, our in-person class meetings will be used for mini-lectures, small group activities, discussions, questions and answers, reviews, and assessments. Our in-person labs will provide hands-on, group learning of core cell biology concepts and basic laboratory techniques.

Masks will be strongly encouraged to be worn during each of our in-person meetings as a best practice to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and other communicable diseases, and in consideration of our immunocompromised and other high-risk community members. Masks will be provided to those who need them.

Previous lecture and lab syllabi are available for you to review.
