Details about this class
I open my D2L Brightspace course shells a week early to give everyone chance to review the requirements and content of the course. I will also be available for all questions and look forward to meeting everyone online! Here is a copy of the Course Syllabus from a prior term, Course Intro Video and information about me as your instructor. Please note that the syllabus and introduction video mention a prior year version of the textbook. We will be using the 2025 edition for our class.
Email any questions to cynthia.killingsworth@pcc.edu.
Technology
In addition to D2L, this course will use the CengageNow homework management system and Intuit Proconnect professional tax preparation software. Both of these are included with your purchase of course materials at the PCC Bookstore. Please note that the CengageUnlimited subscription option is your most economical option. It will be available through the PCC Bookstore or directly from Cengage: https://perf-www.cengage.com/unlimited/students/. Also, the most current edition of the textbook and online materials are essential for this class due to annual changes in tax law.
No show policy
Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.
Online technical requirements
Please be sure to read the quick guide to Online Learning technical requirements.
