Details about this class
I'm teaching my live courses with a "HyFlex" module. This means that we will have normal live class meetings, but I will also be running a Zoom session with the live classes. If people are sick or otherwise unable to attend a live class session, they will have the option of attending through Zoom or watching the class recording at a later time. People attending through Zoom will be able to verbally and through the Chat feature ask questions and interact with the class.
I open my D2L Brightspace course shells a week early to give everyone chance to review the requirements and content of the course. I will also be available for all questions and look forward to meeting everyone online! Here is a copy of a previous term Course Syllabus and information about me as your instructor. Email any questions to cynthia.killingsworth@pcc.edu. Please note that the syllabus and introduction video mention using the 14th edition of the textbook/access code and we are currently using the 15th edition.
Technology
In addition to D2L, this course will use the MyAccountingLab homework management system, which is included with your purchase of course materials at the PCC Bookstore. They will be available through the PCC Bookstore.
No show policy
Your instructor can mark you as a "no show" if you do not participate in your class during the first week. This will remove you from the class. It is important to log in as soon as the class starts to see what the participation requirements are.
Online technical requirements
Please be sure to read the quick guide to Online Learning technical requirements.
