Details about this class
Greetings!
In ART210: Women in Art, we look at art made by women and art that addresses gender and identity throughout history. We will begin by looking at the most contemporary art and issues, and simultaneously dip into historical eras.
This class mostly involves looking at art, reading, writing, written discussion, and two short oral quizzes via Zoom scheduled at your convenience during weeks 6 and 10. The class is asynchronous online with oral quizzes and optional Zoom office hours, and possibly a Museum field trip.
There is no required textbook, and you can complete the course with the links and resources provided in the course site. If you are interested in book resources to support your learning, let me know and I can make suggestions.
Other options:
You will be invited to join my in-person class for local field trips! (optional)
Email me if you have questions: ebilyeu@pcc.edu
I look forward to working with you,
Elizabeth Bilyeu
ART210 instructor
