The Child and Family Studies Department at PCC provides academic degrees and certificates for learners interested in a wide variety of careers. Learn more about the opportunity to work with diverse children, families, communities, and populations. Our department disciplines include:

Early Childhood Education

PCC’s Early Childhood Education program, offers you the skills to succeed in early childhood education centers, early childhood development, family child care, infant and toddler care, and preschool programming.

Family and Human Services

PCC’s Family and Human Services program prepares you for entry-level human service work in a diversity of environments under the direction of professionals including social workers, educators, counselors, psychologists, and other specialists.

Parenting Education and Family Life

PCC’s Parenting Education and Family Life courses support an understanding of child development, observation and interpretation of children’s behavior, family-community partnerships, family lifespan issues, and parent-child relations.
