Program Review Resources Page
Purpose: Program Review takes a holistic approach to evaluating programs by examining the interconnected elements that contribute to their success and impact on students, PCC, and the community. Focus areas include academic quality (student learning and outcomes assessment), student support services, equity and access, workforce alignment, business and industry partnerships, and sustainability (efficient use of resources).

PCC is implemented a new annual Program Review process and, beginning with five pilot programs in 2019/2020 the academic programs were phased out of a five-year cycle.? In 2022-2023 all programs were completing annual activities.? 2023-2024 was used as a “catch-up year” and in 2024-2025 additional changes were implemented; namely, the “PDF Template” was replaced with topic-specific Google forms.? In addition to looking at all the information provided by a SAC to all the questions, we could now easily look at all the answers “across all the SACs” in one-college summaries on a particular topic or question.
Changes for 2025-2027 include the following:. (Note, links to the new 2025-2028 Strategic Plan are indicated in italics.):
- Further expansion of use of student success data including disaggregated data? (Shared Values)
- Integration of program fiscal sustainability work (Operational Excellence)
- Integration of annually updated labor market information? (Workforce, Education, and Industry Alignment)
- Documenting the impact of student voice on classes and programs (Shared Values)
- Documenting community partnerships? (Community Engagement)
- Documenting connections to Learning Assessment? (Academic Excellence and Continuous Improvement)
- Academic Non-Credit Exploration and Integration Report / Aligning Program Review with college-wide strategic planning and related integrated planning activities. (Integrated Planning at PCC)
