PCC seeks community members for Board Audit Committee
Photos and story by James Hill
Portland Community College is calling on civic-minded individuals to join its Board of Directors Audit Committee. The college is seeking one or more community members to serve four-year terms, with the possibility of reappointment for a second term. This initiative invites individuals with backgrounds in finance, auditing, compliance, or governance to help ensure responsible stewardship of college resources.
The Audit Committee plays a vital advisory role, promoting transparency, ethical standards, and sound financial oversight at the college. Committee members collaborate with PCC leadership to monitor risk management, internal controls, and legal compliance, while reviewing audit results and recommending future areas of audit focus.
PCC students are also encouraged to apply, fostering inclusive participation and diverse perspectives. Members are expected to attend quarterly meetings and contribute to the college’s mission through their expertise.
This is a valuable opportunity for individuals committed to public service and community engagement to make a lasting impact on one of Oregon’s largest institutions of higher education.
Interested candidates should submit a resume and cover letter by Monday, July 7, 2025, to Jennifer Hamlin at jennifer.hamlin15@pcc.edu. Visit the Board webpage for more details.
