Upon successful completion of the course, students should be able to:

Course Activities and Design
Course Activities and Design
Students will demonstrate their learning through discussions, group teaching presentations, and assignments that incorporate diverse forms of expression. These activities will focus on theories and research that highlight strategies for creating a positive and welcoming classroom environment that supports diverse learners in thriving. Activities will vary depending on the delivery modality.
Outcome Assessment Strategies
Students will be evaluated, and criteria developed for assigning a course grade using the following tools:
- Student presentation of course materials and research
- Participation in group discussions and activities
- Lesson plan for emergent bilinguals
- Case study of current event or resource for emergent bilingual
