Course Description

Introduces an overview of administering an early learning program. Covers components of safe and developmentally appropriate learning environments. Topics include: record-keeping/reporting, policies/procedures, legalities, Oregon licensing requirements, budgeting, and health/safety and nutrition practices in relation to quality early learning programming. Audit available.

Intended Outcomes for the course

Upon successful completion of the course, students should be able to:

1. Describe the requirements of quality policies/procedures/practices as outlined by the Oregon Department of Learning and Care and NAEYC Standards.
